12/19/2007: "Nerve Viral Videos"
Hi All,
Well, I've been touring around the ole cyberspace today and happened by Nerve.com, who I've done some work for (and have finished a piece for regarding the upcoming US elections which should run there in awhile; I'll link to it, of course) and they've got a great piece up there dealing with the top 20 viral videos of the past year. I can go on YouTube binges every so often but usually it's to either enhance a blog entry or often, weirdly, to check out movie previews. For example, I watched the NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN trailer, like, 20 times to work me up into a righteous lather before watching the movie itself. And SUNSHINE, I loved the trailer specifically for the music:

I love that orchestral score. I've no idea what it's called; if anyone knows let me know so I can be a cheap screw and download it off Limewire.
Anyway, this is all to say that my YouTube-ing is fairly specific, which means I miss out on some of the big viral sensations to surge across the 'Net. Thanks to Nerve, you've got their Top 20.

My faves are "Dramatic Squirrel" but the one I howled my ass off at was #1, THE LANDLORD. It's rare to see Will Ferrell upstaged, but in this one, yes, he is.
All best, Craig.
