R & B ... On Stage!
Hi All,
Do you happen to live or are you presently vacationing in Sydney, Austrailia? Do you like plays? Are you in possession of ten Aussie dollars? Then you should check out Rust and Bone, the play:

The way this came about was: about a year ago, maybe less, I was contacted by a playwright, Caleb Lewis. He's an up-and-comer in the playwrighting world and he said he'd read the book and was interested in working up a play on it. He sent along some samples of his work, other plays he'd written, and I was blown away. His stuff was fantastic. So I checked to make sure that playwriting rights and screenplay rights were separate, and, discovering they were, Caleb and I worked out a deal: he was more than welcome to make a play based on the stories so long as he gave me his firstborn child in recompense. So, Caleb, I'm still waiting for that little bundle of joy! Unless you want to weave some gold out of that straw I sent you. Either way, my friend---gold or baby: nobody rides the ole Davidson Express for free!
That's not true. I would have given the rights to Caleb for free, probably. He knows his stuff.
All best, Craig.

IASIP
Hello all,
I've said before what a fan I am of the show It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. It may well be in the Top 5 All-Time with me, up there with The Simpsons, Arrested Development, and The Beachcombers.
Presently I'm living in this new place. I have internet and phone and cable TV set up, but I don't have an actual TV. I left that in Calgary. So the cable box is just sitting on the floor looking rather forlorn. So yesterday I thought: Hey, why not look around the Internet and steal for free some shows that the creators worked very hard on, thusly robbing them of their hard-earned profits? And in compensation perhaps the provider of said stolen show can fill my computer up with viruses.
So that's what I did. I found this site where you can watch a lot of the episodes. Now, granted, you have to watch them in one of those little video-boxes that takes up 1/4 of the screen and is otherwise surrounded by banner ads and leering come-ons. So, not the best viewing experience. But the show's good enough to put up with that. So if you haven't watched it and have a decent antivirus program, check out the antics of The Gang: Charlie, Sweet Dee, Mac, Dennis, and Frank. Too damn funny.

All best, Craig.

Support a fellow Davidson
Hi All,
As some of you know, my brother Graham is a stand-up comedian. For some reason both of the Davidson boys have chosen to forge a rather odd artistic path. Graham, he's gone the way of the ha-ha. He's had success doing it, too; when he was out in Calgary he was forever touring here, there, and everywhere: Alberta, Sask, BC, all over the western provinces tossing tulips of laughter as he went.
Well, now he's in competition to win Canada's Next Top Comic. It's a promotion put on by XM Radio. It's a big deal and I've very proud of my brother and it would be a great boost to his career. So I thought I'd put the link down at the bottom of this post so you can go listen and vote for him. If he wins he gets to go to Vancouver to show off his comedic chops, and I'd be there to support him. But first he's got to get his ass there.
So go vote!

Very best, Craig
